FRIENDLY VISITOR/TELEPHONE REASSURANCE VOLUNTEER – Charlotte County Help a local senior feel less isolated! You’ll be matched one-on-one with a senior and visit them in their home to say hello and enjoy each other’s company. The Senior Friendship Centers Friendly Visitor/Telephone Reassurance Program matches volunteers with local home-bound seniors who request a friend to come to their home or call them about once per week to check-in and provide some socialization. Depending on interests for friendly visits, you might take a walk, play card games, watch tv, or just have a nice chat. We are looking for volunteers who would enjoy getting to know and build relationships with a local senior on a one-on-one basis, visiting them in their home.
